Die "Pelvic Fins" sind übergangslos aus den "Heaven Boys" entstanden. Nach einem turbulenten Auftritt vor 5.000 Teds und Rock-a-Billy-Fans im Münchner Hasenbergl war klar, dass die musikalische Zukunft der Band nicht im Rock'n'Roll liegen kann. Nach nur fünf Songs drohten uns die besoffenen Teds von der Bühne zu prügeln. Wir schnappten also unsere Instrumente und liefen, was das Zeug hielt, wahrlich, um unsere Haut zu retten.
Nur zwei Monate später gaben wir unser Ende bekannt und gleichzeitig die Geburt der "Pelvic Fins". Diese Wandlung vollzogen wir öffentlich. Wir spielten ein Abschieds-Set als "Heaven Boys", zogen uns zurück und um, und erschienen bereits nach fünf Minuten wieder auf der Bühne, aber als "Pelvic Fins".
Das Publikum dankte uns das mit viel Applaus ...

"Vorher & nachher" soll euch nun einen musikalischen Hör-Eindruck vermitteln, wie wir damals den Begriff "POP" verstanden haben. Garniert wird diese Zusammenstellung mit Neben-Projekten. Alle Songs enstanden überwiegend Mitte der 80er-Jahre.
