Bei diesem Bild wurden die dominierenden Farbwerte (Weiß/Schwarz, Rot/Grün, Inkarnat und Blau) nicht als Frequenzen gedeutet, sondern als Klangfarben bzw. Geräuschtypen, die mit jeweils unterschiedlichen Spielwerkzeugen und -techniken auf einer elektrischen Bassgitarre erzeugt werden. Die Wahl dieses Instruments wurde vom Bildaufbau inspiriert, dessen zahlreiche parallele Linien an Saiten auf einem Instrumentenhals erinnern. Für die klangliche Interpretation wird je ein Drittel des Bildes (von oben nach unten) als eine „Partiturzeile“ interpretiert, die in jeweils dreieinhalb Minuten von links nach rechts gespielt wird. Die Spielgesten versuchen sich den Malgesten anzuverwandeln.

In this picture, the dominant colours (black/white, red/green, flesh tint, and blue) are not interpreted as frequencies, but as timbres or types of sounds to be created on an electric bass guitar using various playing tools and techniques. The choice of this instrument was inspired by the structure of the painting, whose numerous parallel lines evoke strings on the neck of an instrument. For the purposes of sonic interpretation, the top, middle, and bottom thirds of the picture are treated as three "systems" of a score, each of which is played from left to right in three and a half minutes. The gestures of the player try to imitate the gestural content of the painting.
