Die grün-gelblichen Farbflächen wurden anhand des Farbkreises als Töne auf einem Synthesizer gespielt. Das Weiß wird als „weißes Rauschen“ hörbar gemacht. Je nach dem Anteil anderer Farben, die sich hineinmischen – beispielsweise Rot – wird das gleichförmige weiße Rauschen mit bestimmten Filtereffekten durch die Frequenzen dieser Farben im Farbkreis moduliert. Dem Schwarz ist das „braune Rauschen“ zugeordnet (ein dem Namen nach „dunklerer“ Typ des elektroakustischen Rauschens neben dem bekannteren weißen Rauschen). Während das Bild anhand einer Zeitachse von links nach rechts klanglich interpretiert wird, wechseln auch die Anteile von hohen, mittleren und tiefen Frequenzen im braunen Rauschen – je nachdem, ob sich Schwarz oben, in der Mitte oder unten im Bild konzentriert.

The green/yellowish areas were played as tones on a synthesizer according to the circle of colours. The white is made audible as "white noise". Depending on the amount of other colours that get mixed into the white - such as red -, the uniform white noise is modulated, using certain filter effects, by the frequencies of these colours according to the circle of colours. The black is represented by "brown noise" (another form of electroacoustic noise, "darker" in name than the better-known white noise). While the picture is sonically interpreted on a timeline from left to right, the shares of high, middle, and deep frequencies in the brown noise change, depending on whether black is found in the top, middle or bottom section of the picture.
